WEFTFest Fibre Art Silent Auction is dedicated to the Fibre Arts and will take place Thursday May 15 during the Fashion Show and VIP event. We will accept all forms of fibre art including quilts, felted sculptural pieces, knitted, woven and/or crocheted clothing and accessories & cloth art dolls and hand made Teddy Bears.
This year’s sale is being offered at a 60/40 consignment rate (artist gets 60%). The Three Sisters Cultural Centre will assume all POS fees.
Each art piece will have a Starting Reserve Price determined by you, the Artist. The piece will not be sold for anything less. Your Starting Reserve price should be less than your regular value to encourage bidding.
Your Item must be delivered to the TriSisters Art House, 1370 King St N St. Jacobs On, during hours of operation between April 30 and May 11 2025. During the drop off a final inspection will be done of your work to see if it is true to your submission, is ready to show and is in good order. If your piece does not sell you must pick it up from the TriSisters Art House after May 22.
If you are a confirmed vendor we realize you may be coming from further a field and not wanting to make a special trip to bring in your action item. So we will expect that you bring it with you during set up.
That being said it will be vitally important that your auction item is the item you have submitted as the documentation and paperwork will be already printed.
As an artist we always encourage and desire that you make sales so if you do end up selling the piece before the show please let us know what you are replacing it with. We will finalize the details of this consignment/auction item a month before the show.
The Silent Auction will be a part of the Thursday evening VIP event which will include a sit down dinner, Fashion Show, exclusive shopping experience with the vendors and a premier viewing of the Quilt of Belonging.
