This small purse is a good project for beginners to learn how to wet felt items with a resist. Create your own purse with merino wool and accents from different fibres such as viscose, curly locks, or recycled silk roving.

Learn to Draw with Wool

This delightful introduction to needle felting art offers a fun way for participants to explore the unique medium of wool while creating a 2-dimensional piece of art inspired by a photo of their own choosing. Students will leave with an approximately 8×10” piece of art along with a needle felting pad, needle and bits of wool should they wish to continue their work at home.

Hand-stitched Vessels

Create your own fabric vessel using colourful batiks. This class is all about hand sewing and you will embellish your creation then stitch it into a small, free-standing, three-dimensional artwork. This workshop is intended for those with at least beginner experience in hand embroidery or cross-stitch. Judy McMullan is a teacher with the Canadian Embroiderers’ Guild Guelph.
