Omas Siskona – WEFT Fest

WEFTFest 2024 is partnering with Omas Siskona in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation to raise funds and awareness for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers initiative.

The Omas Siskona of KW is dedicated to building solidarity with grandmothers in Africa by raising awareness in ourselves and others about the lives of grandmothers and children in sub-Saharan Africa, their struggles, hopes, and needs, and also their courage, resilience, expertise, and leadership. We do this as committed participants in the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign through activities of education and fundraising.

The Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) works with community-based organizations that are turning the tide of HIV & AIDS in Africa by providing care and support to women, children orphaned by AIDS, grandmothers, and people living with HIV & AIDS.
